Hannah's Shower

On Sunday, I threw a shower for my sweet friend Hannah who is getting married in just four short weeks! Not as many people came as I'd expected, but it was so nice to be with most of my best friends from high school, their moms, and the guys' moms. I do love getting to be with my ACS family. Even though it was small, it was intimate and sweet. There was a time when Hannah asked all of the moms what their advice for a successful, godly marriage would be, and I am so grateful for the conversation that flowed from that question. That was one of those moments that will be etched into my memory forever, and the wisdom those ladies shared was so precious and valuable.

I saw the phrase "From Miss to Mrs." on Pinterest (of course), and I knew I wanted to use it somehow for the shower. I really like how the mantle turned out with the sign, pictures, and garland.

I went with a strawberry/pink theme. What can I say, pink is my favorite color!

These were supposed to be pinker than they were, but they still turned out cute.
(Rice Krispie Treats are one of Hannah's favorites).

Anyone like strawberry cupcakes? I've got a billion left over, and I don't eat them because I don't like cake.

Love this picture Chelsea grabbed of me and my sweet Momma. Could NOT have done this shower without her!

And ending with my favorite...love these girls!

a little break from reality

Spring break is slowly but surely coming to an end. I've absolutely loved this week, and I'm not looking forward to going back to school on Monday, even though we only have two weeks of class left!

This sweet boy turned FOUR on Tuesday. Seriously, FOUR. I cannot believe it's been four years since I became Ash Ash!

Also on Tuesday my mom rocked it like she usually does at the annual FCA golf breakfast. It was a success, like always!

On Wednesday, my friend Kaila and I headed to Atlanta to visit some friends. Her boyfriend is friends with some of my best friends from high school, so it worked out quite well for me. Before we hung out with them, we headed to the World of Coke.

Besides my friend Lauren in Australia, Kaila is my one friend who loves Coke just as much as I do. So it was really fun to get to explore this place with her!

It was a BEAUTIFUL sort of hot day in Hotlanta.

Enjoying some Willy's Mexican with everyone!

Finally visited my GT friends but only managed to get a picture with one of them!

The rest of this week will be spent doing DIY projects, spring cleaning, crafting for Hannah's shower, and just enjoying these last few days of freedom. Happy almost weekend to you, friends!

FINALLY.

I'm finally on Spring Break. FINALLY. One of the pros/cons about living in Augusta is that you have spring break during Masters Week. While this is all fine and dandy if you rent your house out for the week, it stinks when you're a college student and you haven't had a break since MLK day in January. After seeing ALL of my high school friends come home during their spring breaks or Easter weekend, I was so ready for mine! And it's finally here. Here's a little recap on the past couple of weeks...

This sweet boy turned TWO two weeks ago. I can't believe it's been two years since I headed to the hospital on a Saturday morning to meet this little guy. We got together and celebrated him + big brother Jack (whose birthday is two weeks after Joe's) last week. I sure do love those sweet boys.

My dad and I picked up a mattress and box spring for a friend the other day. We shoved that thing in my car to shut the door. That resulted in us having to pull our seats forward and be jammed in the car. This picture doesn't show the situation completely, but it was quite hilarious.

We also celebrated my dad's birthday during Easter weekend. Happy Birthday to the best dad out there!!

This describes springtime in Augusta perfectly! It's officially Masters week. More than likely, I won't head to the beautiful greens this week and watch any golf there, but I will soak up every minute of this break. I'll be working a lot, hanging out with some fabulous new-ish friends, cleaning my house, and doing some DIY pinterest-inspired projects. I cannot wait!

Happy April, friends! Enjoy the beautiful weather before it gets TOO hot.
